It is the mission of the AIG program to equip and support teachers,
parents of gifted students, and the gifted students themselves to
understand giftedness and to use their gifts and talents to become
more aware of their purpose and to bring God glory.

Our Purpose; His Glory
The main purpose of gifted education at Liberty Christian Academy (LCA) is to inspire and motivate gifted students to work at their full potential and to use their gift for God’s glory. Our intent is not to elevate gifted students above other students, but to help them to recognize and fully comprehend that their gifts and talents are:
- God given. It is “by the grace of God” they were created to be who they are (1 Corinthians 15:10).
- not something to become prideful about because they are from God and therefore are given no reason to boast (James 1:17)
- to be cultivated for God’s kingdom, not for selfish reasons. “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them for the common good” (1 Corinthians 12:4-7).
Our Statement of Philosophy for the Education of Gifted Students
LCA believes that God has created every child with unique gifts and talents, and some of these gifts and talents are displayed academically or intellectually. Due to this position, we believe that it is our responsibility as a school of excellence to provide differentiated instruction that fosters these students’ unique ways of thinking and learning.
Our Goals: (I.D.E.A.)
- Identification: All gifted students are identified using quantitative and qualitative data.
- Differentiation: All instructional leaders, teachers, parents, and students have access to instructional strategies and resources.
- Education: All stakeholders understand the basics of how the AIG program at LCA operates, what giftedness means, and their role in the gifted program.
- Advocation: All gifted students learn how to advocate and create enrichment opportunities for themselves and their peers.
